PERSONAL FINANCIAL COACHING
You already know something isn’t working.
That low-level anxiety every time you check your balance. The way you avoid opening the credit card statement. The guilt when you spend on something you wanted, and the confusion when you still don’t have enough even though you work hard. You’re not bad with money. You just haven’t had anyone in your corner helping you figure it out.
Money stress isn’t just about money.
It touches everything. Your confidence. Your relationship. Your ability to make decisions without second-guessing yourself for days. It shows up as avoidance, as arguments, as lying awake at 2am running the numbers in your head.
And the worst part? Most of us were never taught how to manage money well. Not in school, not at home, not anywhere. So we’re all out here winging it and hoping for the best.
You make decent money but it disappears and you’re not sure where.
You have a vague budget that you abandon by the second week.
Unexpected expenses derail everything every single time.
You avoid checking your accounts because the number stresses you out.
You feel shame or embarrassment about where you are financially.
You want to save but can’t seem to make it happen consistently.
You’re not sure you’ll ever feel truly in control of your finances.
You’ve tried apps, YouTube, financial guru books and nothing sticks.
You don’t need more information. You need a clear picture, a real plan, and someone who stays with you while you build the habit of actually following it.
Here’s what changes when you have support.
Financial clarity isn’t about becoming someone who never spends on things they enjoy. It’s about knowing what you have, knowing what matters to you, and building a system that reflects both — so every decision feels grounded instead of anxious.
You stop avoiding.
When you understand your numbers, they stop being scary. You open the app. You check the balance. You actually know what’s happening.
You stop starting over.
We build something sustainable — not a perfect budget you’ll abandon in week two, but a flexible system that absorbs real life and keeps working.
You stop guessing.
Instead of wondering if you can afford something, you know. That clarity changes how you spend, how you save, and how you feel about both.
You start trusting yourself.
The goal isn’t to depend on a coach forever. It’s to build the skills and confidence to make good decisions on your own — for the rest of your life.
Why work with me
I’m Jen Wilbers, CPA. I spent nearly 22 years as a federal government auditor, which means I’ve spent my career doing one thing: taking complex financial information and making sense of it. Finding the patterns. Identifying what’s broken. Translating numbers into decisions.
But what I’ve learned in doing this work is that the numbers are rarely the real problem. The problem is what we believe about ourselves because of the numbers.
My approach is different because I’m not just a coach — I’m a CPA who genuinely understands your financial picture at a technical level, and who also understands that knowledge alone doesn’t change behavior.
I have a natural ability to spot patterns in how money moves through a life, to see where the friction is, and to help you build something that makes sense for who you actually are not who a personal finance book says you should be.
I’m thorough, direct, and practical. I will tell you what I see. I won’t sugarcoat a problematic pattern, but I will never make you feel embarrassed for having one. This is a shame-free space which means you can tell me the truth about your finances and we can actually fix something.
Who this is for
Personal financial coaching works best for people who are done spinning their wheels and ready to actually change something. You don’t need to have it together already. That’s the whole point of coaching.
This is a good fit if you’re…

✓ Earning income but struggling to make it stretch, save, or grow
✓ Going through a life change — new job, divorce, starting a family, retirement planning
✓ Someone who knows what to do in theory but can’t make it stick in practice
✓ Ready to work with someone who will be direct, supportive, and actually show up for you
This probably isn’t the right fit if you’re looking for…
✓ Tax preparation or tax filing (that’s a separate service)
✓ Investment advice or portfolio management
✓ A one-size-fits-all program with no flexibility

What to expect
Every coaching relationship starts the same way: a free 15-minute Q&A call. No pitch, no pressure. We figure out together whether this is the right fit.
01 - Free Q&A call
We spend 15 minutes getting honest about where you are. No judgment, no sales script. Just a real conversation about your situation and whether coaching makes sense.
02 - Do the work together
Sessions are collaborative, direct, and practical. We look at real numbers, make real decisions, and build real systems, not theoretical ones.
03 - Build something that lasts
The goal is for you to walk away with skills and confidence, not dependence on a coach. We’re building toward you not needing me.
Common questions
"I’m embarrassed about where I am financially."
That just means you’re self-aware, not hopeless. I have seen every kind of financial situation. Your starting point doesn’t say anything about your worth. It’s just where we begin.
"I don’t make enough money for this to matter."
Financial coaching isn’t just for high earners. It’s for anyone who wants to stop feeling out of control. The less you make, the more every decision matters, which is exactly why clarity is so valuable.
"I’ve tried budgeting before and it never works."
Because most budgets are built on a fantasy version of your life. We build yours on the actual one. That’s a different experience.
"I’m not sure I can afford coaching right now."
That’s an honest thing to say, and I respect it. The strategy session at $350 is designed specifically for people who want real insight without a long commitment. And the free Q&A call costs you nothing.
Ready to stop guessing about your money?
The first step is a free 15-minute Q&A call. We’ll talk through where you are, what’s not working, and whether coaching is the right move. No obligation, no pitch.
