BUSINESS FINANCIAL COACHING
You built a business. Now let’s make sure the money works.
You know how to do the work. You know how to serve your clients. What keeps you up at night isn’t the work, it’s the money. Whether you made enough this month. Whether you can afford to hire someone. Whether the business is actually healthy or just busy. You need someone who can look at the numbers with you and tell you the truth.
Running a business without financial clarity is exhausting.
Most entrepreneurs are brilliant at what they do and completely overwhelmed by the financial side of running a business. Not because they’re not smart — but because nobody teaches you this stuff when you start. You figure it out as you go, and somewhere along the way the financial side of things becomes the thing you dread most about owning your own business.
You don’t have a clear picture of your cash flow. You’re guessing whether you can afford things.
You avoid looking at your financials because you’re not sure what you’re looking at.
You’re making money but you’re not sure if the business is actually profitable.
You freeze when it’s time to make a big financial decision - a hire, a price increase, a new investment.
You’re mixing personal and business finances in ways you know aren’t sustainable.
Tax season is a stressful scramble instead of a smooth handoff.
You don’t have a real budget or the one you have doesn’t hold up past the first unexpected expense.
You feel like you’re always reacting to your finances instead of directing them.
Clarity doesn’t mean more time staring at spreadsheets. It means finally having a system that tells you what you need to know so you can make decisions with confidence and get back to running your business.
What financial clarity actually looks like for your business.
When you understand your numbers — really understand them, not just glance at a bank balance and hope for the best — everything about running your business changes.
You make decisions faster.
When someone asks you to invest in something, you’ll know within minutes whether it makes sense. No more paralysis, no more guessing, no more “let me think about it” because you’re scared to look at the numbers.
You stop confusing revenue with profit.
A lot of busy businesses aren’t actually profitable. We’ll build a system that shows you what you’re actually keeping after expenses and what needs to change if that number isn’t working.
You pay yourself consistently.
One of the most common pain points for entrepreneurs is not knowing how much they can take out of the business without creating a cash flow problem. We solve that.
You stop operating in reaction mode.
Instead of scrambling every time something unexpected happens, you’ll have a financial cushion, a clear picture, and a plan — so unexpected doesn’t mean catastrophic.
Why work with me
I’m Jen Wilbers, CPA. Before starting Balance & Bloom, I spent nearly 22 years as a federal government auditor which means my career was built on one skill: taking complex financial systems apart, understanding exactly how they work, and translating what I found into language people could actually use to make decisions.
I’ve seen the inside of more financial operations than most business coaches will in a lifetime. I know what healthy looks like. I know what warning signs look like. And I know how to help you build the systems that get you from one to the other.
What makes this different from working with a generic business coach:
Most business coaches talk about money at a high level. I’m a CPA. I can look at your actual numbers — your P&L, your cash flow, your expense categories and tell you specifically what’s working, what’s not, and what to do about it. You get both the technical expertise and the coaching support in one relationship.
I’m also someone who naturally sees patterns in financial data that other people miss. I can look at your business finances and quickly identify where you’re losing money, where you have untapped margin, and what decisions would make the biggest difference. That’s not something you get from a budgeting app or a generic coaching program.
And because every business is different, nothing here is one-size-fits-all. Your coaching program is built around your business, your goals, and how you actually operate, not a template.

Who this is for
Business financial coaching is designed for entrepreneurs, solopreneurs, and small business owners who are serious about understanding their finances, not just surviving them. You don’t need to have it figured out before we start. That’s the point.
This is the right fit if you’re…
✓ A solopreneur or small business owner who wants to finally understand your numbers
✓ Someone who’s been operating without a real budget or cash flow plan
✓ A business owner who makes good revenue but doesn’t feel financially stable
✓ An entrepreneur making financial decisions by gut feel who’s ready for something more reliable
✓ Someone who wants to grow but needs a solid financial foundation before taking the next step
✓ A business owner who’s tired of dreading tax season and wants clean, organized finances year-round
This isn’t the right fit if you’re looking for…
Tax preparation, payroll processing, investment advice, or bookkeeping services. Those are separate — though bookkeeping can be added on if needed.
How we work together
Two coaching options, both fully personalized to your business. Nothing is templated. Everything is built around where you are and where you’re trying to go.
PRIMARY PROGRAM
3-Month Business Financial Coaching Program
For business owners who are ready to stop guessing and build a financial foundation that actually holds. Three months of structured, personalized coaching to get you clear, confident, and operating from a place of financial stability.
Customized financial systems
Built for your business — not a template
✓ A fully built, sustainable budget for your business
One that accounts for how your revenue actually flows, not how a generic spreadsheet assumes it does.
✓ Cash-flow planning that adapts to real-life changes
Because businesses aren’t predictable. Your cash flow plan shouldn’t pretend they are.
✓ Tools for tracking, reflection, and decision-making
Practical systems you’ll actually use — not dashboards you’ll abandon after week two.
✓ Decision-making support
When you’re facing a hire, a price change, a new investment, or any major financial call — you’ll have a framework and a sounding board.
Habit & mindset work
Because knowledge alone doesn’t change behavior
✓ Support in creating consistent money habits
The same way athletes build physical habits, we build financial ones — small, repeatable actions that compound over time.
✓ Reframing stress, guilt, or avoidance around money
Most financial avoidance isn’t laziness — it’s anxiety. We address the emotional side directly.
✓ Confidence-building around day-to-day decisions
So you stop second-guessing yourself every time a financial decision comes up.
Accountability & between-session support
You’re not doing this alone
✓ Regular email support between sessions
Questions don’t wait for scheduled calls. You’ll have access to reach me when something comes up.
✓ Check-ins to keep momentum going
Accountability isn’t just for gym routines. We keep the financial habits moving forward, session to session.
✓ Responsive, consistent communication
You’ll never be left wondering where things stand or whether you’re on track.
Session structure
Weekly sessions for the first 6 weeks, then bi-weekly for the remainder of the program. Every session is built around what’s actually happening in your business right now, not a curriculum designed for someone else’s situation.
FOR PROGRAM GRADUATES
Maintenance Coaching
Available to clients who have completed the 3-month program
You did the work. You built the systems. Now you want to keep the momentum going, stay sharp on your finances, and have someone in your corner when bigger decisions come up. Maintenance coaching keeps the progress compounding without the intensity of a full program.
Available in 3 frequencies to suit your needs
✓ Monthly support sessions
Continued guidance, accountability, and space to navigate real business financial decisions as they come up — pricing changes, growth decisions, unexpected expenses, and anything else that surfaces.
✓ Quarterly check-ins
A seasonal financial review of your business: how did last quarter go, what’s coming up, and what needs to adjust. Keeps your financial plan current as your business evolves.
✓ Semi-annual financial tune-ups
A review to make sure your systems, budget, and cash flow plan are still working for where your business is now — not where it was six months ago.
Common questions
“My finances are a mess. Is it too late to start?”
No. That’s exactly the right time to start. I have worked with businesses in all kinds of financial situations. Your starting point doesn’t determine your outcome — your willingness to do something about it does.
“I already have a bookkeeper. Do I still need coaching?”
Yes — they’re different things. A bookkeeper records what happened. Coaching helps you understand what it means and what to do about it. Many clients have both and find they work well together.
“I don’t have time for this.”
The businesses that feel like they don’t have time for financial work are usually the ones that need it most. We build the program around your schedule — and the clarity you gain actually saves you time in the long run by eliminating the mental overhead of constant financial uncertainty.
“How is this different from just hiring an accountant?”
An accountant looks backward at what already happened. Coaching is forward-looking. We build systems for decisions you’re making right now, habits you’re developing going forward, and confidence you carry into every financial conversation your business will ever have.
